Editorial & Translation
For more than twenty years, I have translated literary fiction, non-fiction, children’s and YA books, theatre, television and journalism from Hebrew into English. Working with authors and international organizations, I bring close attention to voice and cultural context, finding solutions that preserve the character of each text while making it accessible to English-speaking audiences.
Altneuland Press
From 2024 to 2026, I worked as Editorial Lead at Altneuland Press, helping establish the editorial and operational framework of an international publishing house focused on Hebrew and Jewish literature in German, Hebrew and English.
My role combined editorial work and project management. I read and evaluated manuscripts, contributed to publication decisions, and worked closely with authors, translators, editors and proofreaders, and liaised with literary agents, publishers and estates on translation and publication rights.
Alongside the literary work, I developed editorial workflows and publication schedules, built the project management system, and coordinated freelancers across the German and Israeli markets. I also worked with designers and developers on the publishing house’s website and editorial content.
The Short Story Project
The Short Story Project is a unique online magazine that publishes short stories in the language of origin and in English, making local texts accessible to international readers. As part of my work there until 2018, I translated some exceptional literary works from the Hebrew to English.
